She discovered Gyrotonic (after trying most everything else) during rehabilitation from a dance related hip surgery in 2012. Not only did Gyrotonic allow her to return to what she loved to do but in it she finds the same sort of poetry and communion between self, time and space that is found in dance. She has a BFA in dance with extensive studies in Anatomy, Kinesiology and Laban Movement Analysis. She has been teaching Gyrotonic since 2015 completing courses in Applications for the Shoulder Girdle and Cervical Spine, Level 2 Format 1 and the Leg Extension Unit. In 2021 she added a certification from The Pilates Center in Boulder, CO
